Engineering for Kids

Inspiring the Next Generation of Engineers

In an endeavor of bringing in the best practices of the globe to its students with a commitment of enriching their learning experiences, Global Indian International School, Chinchwad has brought America’s award winning learning program- Engineering For Kids to its classrooms.

Bringing the Best in S.T.E.M Enrichment to Children across the World, catering to children ages 4 to 14 in a fun and challenging way through classes, camps and after school clubs, it inspires children to build on their natural curiosity by teaching engineering concepts through hands-on learning. STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education is something that is critically lacking in our nation’s school systems. In a globally competitive economy, employers of all shapes and sizes are increasingly seeking workers skilled in science, technology, engineering, and math. Engineering For Kids seeks to be a major part of the solution to this problem by fostering these skills in young children.

The EFK classes have been integrated into the curriculum to make this a wholesome program for the students.

Engineering For Kids began when Dori Roberts, founder and CEO, noticed that there was a lack of engineering programs in the area to enroll her then 6 and 8 year old children. Dori opened her first location in 2009 and began franchising her business in 2011. Since then, Engineering For Kids has opened 145 locations in 21 countries.
