A liberal session knowing more on liberal arts
GIIS Chinchwad holds the Leadership Lecture Series that primarily aims at bringing experiences of personalities and their thoughts on success, goals and general well being that is most important for a purposeful life. It provides an exploration of leadership through stories and experiences shared by guest speakers. This semester the school got an opportunity to host Mr Arjun Puri, Director Admissions and Outreach at Jindal Global University on February 9, 2018.
The one hour session was held for the students of X and XI in the school campus. He oriented the students on importance of liberal studies. Through his life stories and experiences he spoke to the students on the facets of growing up in school and college life. The mantra he gave to the students was to pursue their passion. He shared his childhood dilemma of studies and from investment banking to love for food and travel. The talk was casual yet very inspiring. Students connected well to his session and responded beautifully. Arjun’s talk ranged from finding the best biryani in India to his hatred for Math. He urged the students to spend time traveling as it is one of the finest ways to learn about various cultures and heritage. “Keep the curiosity always alive. Ask questions to yourself and to others. Imagine, dream, aspire, these are the qualities that will keep you going and help you in finding the way”, said Arjun while addressing the students.
