International Yoga Day

While our Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi led the way amidst rains, performing various asanas on the International Yoga Day, Global Indian International School, Chinchwad also did not let the cloud laden skies dampen the spirit of Yoga. Students of all grades across the school participated in a rejuvenating experience of immersing themselves in the peaceful practice of Yogasana.

Highlighting the objective of Yoga and talking about the importance of Yoga Day, students were oriented towards breathing techniques that help them connect with their inner selves allowing them to reflect on the tranquility achieved through this. Students were also given an insight into the various Yogasanas that not only help the body to be healthy but also allow the mind to be peaceful and calm. Ms Rushali, the yoga expert conducted the sessions in the morning and helped students to learn and understand the positive impact of doing yoga in our daily lives. Students performed various asanas following their guru. The meditation session towards the end left everybody recharged and feeling good.

Dr Amrita Vohra on the occasion said, “Yoga is a beautiful amalgamation of physical, spiritual and mental well being. It allows one to connect with the energies of this universe and oneself. As a school, we strongly believe that Yoga is the way to beautifully connect with ourselves and lead a healthy life”.
