The true son of soils- Fallen Heroes

As our country progresses towards acknowledging, celebrating and living the freedom, we must remember that the freedom that we now take for granted has been presented to us by the freedom fighters and the true son of soils that devoted their life to our motherland, ensuring the freedom of their predecessors. Such selfless dedication should more often be celebrated and Global Indian International School, Chinchwad constantly builds up in its students the respect for those fallen heroes.

Special assemblies were held on the occasion of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s birth anniversary and Martyrs’ Day to remember the heroes of the nation and salute their patriotic spirit which led Indian towards attaining freedom. At the special assembly to commemorate the birth of Netaji, students put up a great show of his life span. “Khooni Hastakshar”, the classic poem on Netaji was presented that raised the enthusiasm in the assembly. Students also presented a dance performance on “Kadam kadam badhaye ja” to conclude the ceremony.

The martyrs’ day assembly saw a remembrance for all the unsung heroes of our nation and the students applauded their efforts wholeheartedly. A special presentation on the Father of our Nation- Mahatma Gandhi welled up tears of respect and adulation for a personality that is synonymous with our country’s freedom journey.
