Global Indian International School strongly professes the belief “Leadership is an attitude” and the young, dynamic leaders of the School took charge on the 5th Investiture ceremony of the School marking the formation of a new senate. The official oath taking ceremony took place on April 29, as the School corridors buzzed with enthusiasm and pride. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Adv. Sachin Shrikant Patwardhan, Chairman – State Level Accounts Committee (Cooperative Department), Maharashtra State.

The felicitation ceremony on the day witnessed the induction of the Office bearers for the year 2016-17. The chosen members of the student council body were applauded which was followed by the oath taking ceremony of the student senate where they pledged to carry out duties assigned to them with sincerity and efficiency. The student council body of the School represents values of righteousness, responsibility, integrity and headship. They are a rare combination of valor, humility and competence.

Chief Guest Mr Patwardhan urged the students to realize the importance of opportunities that come in their way and acquire skills that will make them worthy citizens who are willing to give back not only to their family but to the society, nation and the world at large. He concluded by saying, “…each one of you is unique and sky is the limit for you. With a potential to lead and a willingness to be on the right track, I am confident that all of you will be the Nation builders for the future.”

Utkarsh Gogna and Sonia Pawar will be leading the Student Council as the chosen Head Boy and Head Girl respectively. Both of them in their speeches affirmed their missions and solemnly pledged to keep the flag of the school flying high.

Principal Dr Amrita Vohra in her address congratulated the senate members and shared the heart warming and inspiring story of the carrot, egg and the bean where she through a very perfect example stated to the students to emerge strong in the times of adversities. She said, “Investitures is an occasion to espouse confidence, development of leadership qualities and sense of responsibility among the student leaders.”
