GIIS salutes the Constitution of India

Global Indian International School, Chinchwad celebrated the Constitution Day on November 26, 2015

with pride and euphoria. Saluting the Preamble of Indian Constitution, which reflects the spirit of our

motherland, the school, students and teachers took a pledge on this important occasion and reveled in

the glory of patriotism. This day fills the hearts and minds of young students with a sense of being a part

of one great nation.

As per CBSE directives, a special assembly was held on the day to mark the significance of one of the

most important days of Indian history. The Preamble to the Constitution was read by the Head Boy

reiterating the significance and strength the document of Constitution of India holds within it. A

poster–making competition to illustrate the messages contained in the Preamble to the Indian

Constitution was held for all students of classes VI to XII. Students came up with wonderful pieces of

creativity and expressed their thoughts rather well.

Class teachers selected the best three, and submitted the same for competition to the art teachers who

declared the top three positions in each class level. The winners across respective segments were:

The Academic Coordinator, Mrs Manju addressed the assembly, orienting the students on why this day

holds importance for us as citizens of this country. Taking an interesting example of sports and games

which are clearly defined with rules and regulations for a seamless functioning, she iterated that the

Constitution helps us to live a life of law and order.
