‘There are times when we forget that water cycle and life cycle are one.’

These thoughts were invoked by the students of class 8 B in the

assembly conducted by them on the 8th of July. Students highlighted

environment as a topic of concern and talked about conservation of

water and water bodies.

In order to make other students understand the importance of water,

students related incidents of daily lives that lead to wastage of

water. They also talked about how such situations can be avoided.

The assembly was based on water is life’s matter and matrix, mother

and medium. Children talked about how everything withers and dries up

without water. Stressing on the importance of water as a non-renewable

natural resource, children talked about effects of water pollution and

measures to control it.
