Folk Song contest was rustic music by some amazing vocalists which transported you to traditional land.  There were participants from 5 schools. They were given a time limit of 5 minute and an option to sing a song in a language of their choice. The songs by the vocalists were lucid. There was an amalgamation of different styles and techniques in this competition. The folk songs of diverse regions and states, songs passed down through oral tradition from one generation to another were sung in memorable and familiar tunes by the participants. The pronunciation and lyrics were perfected with practice and technique. The songs of spring, harvest, seasons, birth, festivals etc. all sung in perfect rhythm. Marathi, Punjabi, Gujarati, Hindi, Urdu, Bengali and Rajasthani folk songs were sung. The soul stirring song rendition of some students left the judges transfixed. The top position was a tie between the students from Global Indian International School and Army Public School. It was followed by students from City International School and G. G. International School
